with how we treat each other.
Leave space for other people to speak. Respect a person’s choice to keep their camera off or decline a direct message. Keep private information out of public rooms.
Block someone in a room to disconnect their voice/video and prevent direct contact there. Report a message or participant for operator review. Reports are reviewed asynchronously; the rooms are not continuously staffed.

Yes. Text, voice and camera access are free. Create an account and verify your email before entering. No app download is needed.
Can I join without registration?
No. An email-verified account is required to join. Choose a username, verify the code sent to your email, then sign in.
Which languages can I use?
Use Roman Urdu or English for text, or speak in the language you are comfortable with. Room staff can pause text or voice access, so availability may differ between rooms.
Will my microphone or camera start automatically?
Your microphone and camera start off. The room connects you as a listener when space is available; some browsers need you to select Enable audio. To speak, select Raise hand and allow microphone access. Your mic starts automatically on your turn. Camera access stays separate and requires your permission.
Are conversations private or recorded?
Room messages are saved and visible to people who join later. Shared live media is visible or audible to connected participants. UrduPal does not record live microphone or camera streams, but other participants may. Messages and deliberately uploaded files are saved and can be reviewed by the site owner. Direct messages are not end-to-end encrypted. Direct media connections may reveal your network address.
What if voice or video does not connect?
Check browser permissions and try leaving and rejoining voice. Some restricted networks cannot establish a direct media connection. You can still use text chat, or try another network. Voice and video require a browser with WebRTC support. See the voice setup guide.
